We all know that black is a fail-safe colour for a dressy occasion, and Natalie Portman and Demi Moore gave us two different versions of the basic LBD at the Hollywood premiere of No Strings Attached yesterday.

While Portman covered her burgeoning baby bump in a flowing black and sheer-beige maxi-dress by New York label Vena Cava, Demi Moore showed off her figure (which continues to defy the laws of ageing) in a fitted mini-dress with zipper detail. While Demi opted for a bouffant updo, Portman wore her tresses long and loose.
